PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The theme for the Uptown Wild Haven mural was inspired by the diverse locally-owned businesses at Jessica’s Broadway Building on the corner of Broadway and McLoughlin Blvd. Each business selected an animal to represent itself, with the resulting mural reflecting how they work together in joyful harmony. This mural further reflects and celebrates the diversity in the surrounding neighborhood and business community, which came together to help create this project both financially and through volunteers generously donating their time and resources to help with this painting.

Recycled paint was used for this project to emphasize not only our obligation to preserve and protect our environment for our community and future generations, but the practical ways we can do this without sacrificing quality and beauty. We honor the great community effort that came together to make this project possible. People of all ages and demographics donated food, time and resources to support this an eco-friendly public art piece bringing joy to all who pass by. Thank You Vancouver!
